George Marchelos is an experienced sales manager, currently work for Mercer Computer Systems out of Cupertino, California. He has also worked as a senior sales executive, as well as having done some work as a channel manager for companies in the past.
Much of his technical expertise centers around the new cloud computing. This includes video streaming which has recently begun to come into its own in a really big way. He is also experienced in virtualization projects, particularly for MSOs and WANs.
His channel management experience comes from having worked in business development. He’s helped to develop businesses on a smaller level as well, working within the companies to develop a skilled and successful sales task force.
His ability to sell has provided a great deal of value to every company that he’s ever worked for. And because of this, he’s proven his ability to lead across several different companies and several different functions. His quality is demonstrated through his own efforts for all these various companies.
Currently, he is working for Mercer Computer Systems as a professional services consultant. And in his time here, he has done some truly incredible things on their behalf. For instance, in his first year with the company he was responsible for negotiating a $1.4 million service contract. This was a big deal for the company as, at the time, this was the largest such contract that had ever been negotiated for them.
As we said, though. George Marchelos is the kind of man who proves himself across various projects. It wasn’t enough for him to just make a big sale for his company. He has also worked closely in other projects as well, providing leadership and drive on them. One such project – a data/video integration project for the Air Force – was completed exactly to the quota that was given to them – deadlines and all.
He wasn’t involved in just one aspect of the project, though. He was involved on the back end of it as well: he helped on the support and delivery of this project to the Air Force, to make sure that it was set up to their specifications. For a sales executive, that kind of dedication to quality delivery of the product is unusual.
